Spiritual Guidance – The Golden Rule…..

I try hard to live “through spirit” and in my professional life as a psychic medium when I m helping people with my spiritual counseling I provide spiritual guidance. Apart of that is trying my best in my personal life to be a honest and truthful person, there fore it rolls over into my professional life as well. I, if you will practice living “THE GOLDEN RULE”.

For those who are not familiar with it, you can put it a little differently but here is the definition I got from Wikipedia:

The Golden Rule or ethic of reciprocity is an ethical code, or a morality^[2], that states (in four forms, see table below):

One should treat others according to how one would like others to treat them (positive, passive form)
Treat others as you would like to be treated (positive, active form)
One should not treat others in ways one would not like to be treated (prohibitive, passive form)
Do not treat others in ways you would not like to be treated (prohibitive, active form. Also called the Silver Rule)

The Golden Rule has a long history, and a great number of prominent religious figures and philosophers have restated the above four forms of the Rule in various ways.

The Golden Rule is arguably the most essential basis for the modern concept of human rights, in which each individual has a right to just treatment, and a responsibility to ensure justice for others.^[3] A key element of the Golden Rule is that a person attempting to live by this rule treats all people, not just members of his or her in-group, with consideration. The Golden Rule has its roots in a wide range of world cultures, and is a standard which different cultures use to resolve conflicts.^[4]

So there you have it. Not only has the golden rule been around for centerys, it is known through out the world. This is not a new concept…right….well then for the life of me why the heck dont people live by it…I mean truly live by it……

When I was a kid my mom used to tell me “Do onto others as others would do upon you” I learned that as a small child….i was no child genius…..I heard it and got it…it really isnt a hard concept…. so why the heck dont people get it. Do it. and LIVE by it.

Let me tell you why Im angry about this. I recently got a comment (ones own opinion) and it was rude. It came from ego, which to me people will be mean only to make there own selves fell better. Do these people not believe in karma? What the heck, let alone they obviously dont believe in the golden rule.

So at that point emotionally I was of curse hurt by what they said. Mentally and objectively the comment had no validity, it was a small opinion not based on facts and he clearly judged me and really uncalled for. I hope that person felt better by lashing out and being rude to me for no other eason than to make himself fell better….Now theres a strong person.

That then left me with two options. To A: write a rude comment back saying “what the F*&K”….. get upset and have a argument and get all worked up…or B: say nothing and then say a little prayer for that person..because if that person was so easily to stup to that level so appropriately than that shows there own character….. they are the ones who need that help.

So what did I do….well I was also told when I was really little that “Two Wrongs Dont Make a Right” there for if I would had commented back…who does that make me? I always have thought that to be a simple concept….really. I did option B…no I dont now need a metal or a pat on the back….just now I m the one who can calmly go to bed and sleep each night and my councous is clear so the good things can come into my life. I also know that karma is always at work and they will get what is coming to them one way or another. With situations like this I think that it is best to have spirit handle this and leave your ego out of it.

Yet how many of us do that…will lash out so quickly at some one else. Or like happened to me someone out of no where wasted there precious time God gave us to post a negative comment and deliberately hurt someone you dont even know. What is the point to that. And if you are one of those people who need to hurt others to feel better…you really are the ones who do need the help and need to develop your connection to spirit yourself.

That is one of the most important things I think in ones life is to “Live Through Spirit”, live by the golden rule and seek spiritual guidance when and where you can. Spiritual guidance I think is a on going process. Spiritual guidance is something that includes living through spirit and the golden rule. Spiritual guidance can be done between you and spirit and from the help of others. Spiritual guidance will and can help you in every area of your life. I also think that the more you practice spiritual guidance the easier it is to deal with the hard things that come up in your life.

All around with all of this by simply doing the right thing, it only benefits you. LEAVE YOUR EGO OUT of everything you do.

Remember that your either doing something out of love or out of fear (which is ego)…..

Moral of this story and for me to get off the soap box: DONT BE MEAN!!!!
