Letting Go

Letting Go

While it is only two little words “Letting Go”, it can be so difficult to actually do it.

The Art of Letting go … I saw a little girl the other day holding onto a large, round multi-colored swirl lollipop. Do you remember sucking on those as a kid, the ones that are as big as a salad plate? I remember my eyes getting so big when I saw those in stores. I would just beg my mom to get me one. Those truly represent a kid’s ultimate dream candy.
Every once in a while a special occasion, she would bend and buy me a lollipop like that. It is probably a $10 lollipop that is mostly for your visual pleasure then the practicality of ever finishing it. Although when you are that young and see something like that, you tend to disregarded all practicality.
Yet when I was watching her devour that lollipop as fast as her tongue could go on this lollipop the size of her face, with eyes wide and full of excitement, her dad came up to her and tried to take it away.

As you can imagine that did not go over well.
At first her face showed panic and confusion, wondering why her dad would wanted to take it away from her. Then she became upset and began to cry.  It was if he had taken the best and only thing in the world away from her.
Has that happened to you? Has someone taken something from you that you just loved and hurt you in doing so? Have you lost something you loved? I think most of us can answer yes to that. It was hard to let go of that something special, wasn’t it?
Yet there is the other side. Sometimes that thing you love so much is something that is bad for you to have in your life or to be a part of. When that time of your life ended and that thing you held on to so tightly was taken away, it was a traumatic experience to have to go through. We try to move on from the pain and forget it. But it is that bad thing that we need to let go of as well.
However, that is so hard for us to do, which is interesting. When something is bad, wouldn’t it be easy to let it go? If that girl was holding a moldy piece of bread, she would have gladly given that up and thought nothing of it. Yet that is not how our minds work. When we have a traumatic experience we tend to dwell on it and hold the frustration in.

We are sometimes afraid to allow that bad thing to leave.
If things are not released from our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies, ignored or pushed aside… If we do not deal with the pain, hurt or frustration from that bad thing we loved so much, it can keep you weighed down with negative energy that will begin to affect multiple areas of your life. By suppressing pain or difficult feelings you can become depressed from not dealing with and letting go of all that negative energy.
This can affect you moving forward in your life in all areas.
You must let go of the bad in order for the good to come in.

You must release all that is not serving you. It is unhealthy to keep all of that in.

Negative energy is a road block in your life for you to fully move into the life you have always dreamed of. That is why it is my 2nd “Key Step” that must be followed in transforming your life.

You must RELEASE and and practice LETTING GO of what is not serving you!

The first step is: Identifying and becoming clear on what it is you want to change and then committing to that entire process.
Now after you have identified what it is you need to change, you must then release what you are so frustrated about, whatever negativity have you been holding onto, whatever you are upset about, or any other negative emotions you are struggling with.
Once those things are released from your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies, you can begin to move forward to the other 3 Key Steps that need to be followed when you are transforming your life and moving on to bigger and brighter things through Spirit.
I have developed a guidebook that discusses in depth how to release what is not serving you. It is the Living Through Spirit: Spiritual Transformation Guidebook. It is 180 pages that guides you through the process that Spirit brought me during my time of transformation.
I will also be discussing this 2nd step on releasing on my radio show: The Living Through Spirit Show on CBS New Sky Radio on Friday, October 14th at 3 pm EST..
I would love for you to join me, so you can learn the next important step in transforming your life so you can begin living the life you once thought was just a dream..
Releasing and letting go is a hard thing to do.  I do speak from experience. However, with some simple techniques that Spirit brought to me, it can be easier on you and more effective in your life. I encourage you to begin to let go of what is not serving you so you can bring in the light of Spirit. Once you do, new doors will begin to open.
